THE SERVANT

The story of how I received The Servant is told in detail in the book To The World-THE FIRST CALL. The book is a FREE audio download on the homepage.

The receiving of The Servant, as with most of the To The World music, is recalled as clearly as when they were received.  I had already received the song The Lady of Medjugorje and all of the instructions while attending the Mass in the St. James Church.  I had been instructed to record the song and that it would be heard throughout the world.  However, it was the receiving of The Servant that led to my "yes" that led to my mission.

I had only been back home in Des Moines about 2 weeks from my first pilgrimage to Medjugorje with my mother. It was a Saturday evening when I decided to leave from Des Moines and drive to Kansas City, three hours away.  I had decided to go ice skating.  It was on the return trip from KC, while driving Interstate 35 late that night, and after praying the rosary, that the song began to come to me. It was like a ticker tape crossing my mind.  So that I wouldn't lose the words, I pulled over to the shoulder of the highway and ended up writing the song on the back of several check stubs from my wallet.  It was a scary situation because of the semi-trailers passing so close to me and shaking the car.  I wrote the words as quickly as the words were presented to me, so I didn't give it much attention in the understanding of the words.  When I finally got home in the early hours of the morning, I was reminded of the song and began to transcribe from the check stubs on to plain paper. As I was writing the words I could also hear the music. I then realized the awesomeness of the words.  When the writing was completed I was sitting at my dining room table in tears. It was at that point I said "yes' to God and Our Lady and surrendered to them in any way they wanted to use me.  For me to see now how this mission is unfolding is miraculous to my eyes. And now The Servant goes out To The World.
