Video: Medjugorje At the Cross (Song Version 1)

Author's Explanation

At the Cross was written on a Holy Thursday. I had already been to Medugorje three times. It was a day when I was at my desk at work - just another regular work day. There was no particular reason for me to have received this song at this time, because it was totally uncharacteristic for me to receive anything like this while at work. I recall suddenly experiencing an overwhelming blanket of peace, and then I went into the vision. It began as if I was in a helicopter moving slowly over a very barren desert area. In the far distance I could see three crosses. The scenery moved closer and closer in quick distance changes. The crosses were now very visible. Suddenly, I was in front of Jesus. His feet were at my chest level. His bloodied and beaten body was impossible to look at. I could feel the desolation, isolation, the cold and wind, and found myself questioning what had he ever done?

The words then began. I quickly got paper and pencil, but I did not leave the vision. Two parts of me were working now: being in the vision and capturing the words delivered; as word for word as you hear in the song. I realized, with the words, I was in Mary at the foot of the Cross. He was still alive on the cross. I watched Him take His last breath. I watched the guards bring Him to me. As I held Him in agony I was totally in awe, when all of sudden, I heard His voice speaking inside of me with the words in the song. I finished writing the song shaking and in tears. I then regained full consciousness. Shortly, thereafter, I received the music. This was an experience that is always with me, especially during this Lenten season. Now I share it with the world.

When the song was recorded, incredible things were witnessed in the studio.
What a tremendous grace to have received At The Cross.
